Guided by: Phototeva Team

Cost: $4,980

DAY 1 - Arrival - Kilimanjaro

We will board the local jeeps and head to the lodge. The pampering lodge is located in the heart of the spectacular African wilderness. On our way to the lodge, if we’re lucky, we’ll see the first herds of animals of this wondrous continent. In the evening, after dinner, we’ll prepare for the next few days by going over some animal photography techniques. Overnight accommodation will be at Sangaiwe Lodge.

DAY 2 - Tarangire National Park - The Savannah's Life Source

After an early breakfast, we’ll head out to the Tarangire National Park, the third-largest nature reserve in Tanzania and home to a particularly large population of elephants. Animals flock here because of the Tarangire River, which serves as the only source of water in the area. The variety of animals is amazing: lions, tigers, cheetahs, and almost six thousand elephants. After sunset, we’ll return to the Ndutu Luxury Lodge for dinner with a spectacular view.

DAY 3 - Ndutu Nature Reserve - Kingdom of Cheetahs

After breakfast, we’ll drive through Ndutu Nature Reserve, one of the most fascinating reserves in Africa, and home to one of the most amazing animals in the world - the Cheetah. We'll take advantage of the last light and the magical golden hour before heading back to our pampering accommodation at Ndutu Luxury Lodge.

DAY 4 - Ndutu & the Serengeti - Mother of All Nature Reserves

After an early breakfast, we’ll go on another safari tour in the Ndutu Nature Reserve and then proceed to the crown jewel of Africa, one of the most beautiful nature reserves in the world - The Serengeti. This reserve is where Africa's richest wildlife is found, from tiny mongooses to the "Big Five" - the elephant, the rhinoceros, the leopard, the lion, and the African buffalo. During the tour, we’ll follow the herds of wildebeests and zebras in their great migration. We'll see the giraffes grazing the treetops, follow lion prides, and track the movement of the vultures circling above the action and waiting for the bounty. Overnight accommodation will be at the Serengeti Serena lodge

DAY 6 - Serengeti National Park - Another Day in Paradise

On this day we’ll travel to different areas in search of various adventures and experiences. We’ll focus on the great predators and their way of life, and try to photograph them while using the unique lighting that changes throughout the day. If we still have time and energy, in the evening when we return to the Serengeti Serena Lodge we can convene after dinner for a fascinating lecture or to review the footage.

DAY 5 - Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, we’ll head out for another full day of nature and wildlife in the Serengeti National Park. We’ll follow the animals of the reserve – who’ve been roaming, eating and getting eaten without interruption for thousands of years. We'll have a packed lunch in the field and then ride along with the bodies of water in search of crocodiles, hippos and lion prides in the bushes. When we’re done, we'll return to the Serengeti Serena Lodge for dinner and spend the night there.

DAY 7 - Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After an early breakfast, we’ll head out for our last hurrah in the Serengeti National Park. After experiencing some exciting and amazing encounters with the animals, we’ll proceed to another highlight of our journey - the drive towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. It’s not just a physical journey but a journey through time to a primal and magical world that belongs to another century. Ngorongoro is not only the home of tens of thousands of animals but also nearly fifty thousand members of the Maasai tribe. We'll have dinner and spend the night at the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge.

DAY 8 - A Day All About Ngorongoro

This day is one of the highlights of the journey. After breakfast, we’ll head out with our packed lunch to the crater and drive slowly along the rim of the caldera - the dormant mouth of a 3-million-year-old volcano. The crater is bustling with animal life, including a savanna of herbivores, with antelopes and their predators, water streams, a swamp, a soda lake (with pink flamingos), a freshwater lake with hippos, many winged birds and even the endangered black rhino. We'll return to the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge for dinner and a good night's sleep.

DAY 9 - Arusha and Return Home

After breakfast, we’ll return to Arusha, and time permitting, we’ll stop on the way at interesting villages and markets before we take off home, depending on your flight schedule. Going home can be difficult after such an incredible journey. It's a good thing you have all those photos to relive your experience for long after it's over.
